AREA WIDE YOUTH DEVOTIONAL
August 1st - Hosted by Dasher and will take place during our evening services, which start at 6:00 pm. Featured speaker: Mr. Brad Lawson. There will be group activities and finger foods provided after the services in the GCS gymnasium. All our youth are encouraged to participate and invite their friends.
Ladies:only sandwiches and cookies are needed for the devo. Drinks and chips are being provided. Please remember, last year we had in excess of 350 youth to participate. The Youth Committee appreciates every ones efforts in making this event a great success.
VOICES FROM THE PAST
Beginning on Sunday evening, July 25, and extending for the next 3-4 months we will be featuring a recorded sermon from great gospel preachers of the past who have now passed away. We are looking to have powerful, moving sermons from such people as Thomas B. Warren, Guy N. Woods, Marshall Keeble, and others. This series of lessons will provide our children with an opportunity to hear the timeless message of the gospel presented by exceptional speakers from before their time and for older members to have their memory refreshed by these wonderful voices from the past. Our first speaker in this series will be the late brother Wendell Winkler on Sunday evening, July 25. We will miss our fourth Sunday night singings for a short while, but these sermons will be inspirational for us all!

BENEVOLENCE
Members, if you would like to participate in benevolence work, please see the sign up sheet on the round table in the foyer. Because we are updating our information, everyone should sign up, even if you were on a previous group. Take notice these are not the food groups, but other groups such as: benevolence, fix it up, health care, funeral singers, prayers, etc.

GEORGIA SCHOOL OF PREACHING
For general information regarding the Georgia School of Preaching, current term dates, a list of courses offered and registration, visit our website at www.gsoponline.org. Be sure to click on Valdosta Campus. Everyone is invited to attend these classes.
If you are able to provide a meal or donate an entrée (sides will be provided) to the School of Preaching, a sign-up sheet is available on the table in the front foyer. This is a wonderful, very much needed and appreciated ministry!
